Bishop’s Reserve is a fund-raising project of the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand, Western Australia District in conjunction with Olive Farm Wines located in Perth’s Swan Valley. Funds generated from the sale of Bishop’s Reserve wine directly fund the role of the Western Australia Bishop.

To date, we have raised over $42,800 since we started in 2018. A big thank you to all that have supported us in this fund-raising venture and we hope that you are enjoying or have enjoyed your wine!

The Lutheran Church is the largest Protestant Church in the world, with 80 million members worldwide. It dates back to the Reformation in the 16th century when Martin Luther challenged some of the teachings and practices of the church of his day. Luther insisted that the Bible is the authority that decides what the church should teach and do.

Across Australia, over 190,000 people call themselves Lutherans, and more than 600 congregations join together as the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ).

In the classic Lutheran summary of faith, we believe that we are saved ‘by grace, for Christ’s sake, through faith’. In other words, there is nothing we can do to earn God’s favour or to gain eternal life. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus Christ has won all this and more for us. We also believe that only the Bible is the source of inspiration and teaching.

The Lutheran Church of Austalia and New Zealand, Western Australia District (LCAWA) is a made up of 14 congregations and preaching places throughout Western Australia, plus the Living Waters Lutheran College school in Warnbro.

Other groups that are part of the LCAWA are the Lutheran Youth of WA and Lutheran Women of WA.
